Malaspina Castle - Tresana
The imposing complex of the castle ruins, waiting to be restored, appears suddenly, looming over the tiny town below.
You can still see the base of the impressive quadrangular tower with barrel vaults, as well as the foundations ot two stone towers.
Castello di Villa di Tresana
A simple quadrangular construction, with cylindrical stone towers at the opposite ends.
The wall has a slight scarp under a continuous stone stringcourse and numerous loopholes for archers and crossbows in the angular towers.
The building is privately owned and has been completely restructured by the current owners who use it as a summer residence.

Giovagallo
High up on the rocky hill, you will see the remains of the castle that once belonged to Moroello Malaspina and Alagia Fieschi.
