The Botanical Garden of Frignoli, 900 over the sea, near the town of Sassalbo and the Cerreto Pass, is the Lunigiana Gate to the Tuscan-Emilian Appennine National Park, and it represents the ideal place to discover the cultural and natural typical differences between the Appennine and the Apuan Alps.
In the park, it is possibile to visit the Botanical Garden, in order to admire the typical plants and flowers of Tuscan-Emilian Appennine and Apuan Alps, and to know the spontaneous eatable and toxic plants, willows, peonies and the trees of Lunigiana.
A mountain refuge, equipped with 30 beds, toilets and showers, kitchen, living spaces and a lab, is available.
